Dr. Peter Witham has 20 years of experience as a leader in the field of education, having supported over 250 organizations in the design, implementation, continuous improvement, and evaluation of programs and policies. Peter’s foundational experiences as a 4-7th grade teacher have instilled a passion for supporting education communities to implement and continuously improve programs and policies that develop all learners' competencies. As a technical assistance expert and research scientist, Peter has provided intensive support to organizations regarding programs and policies focused on human capital management systems, career pathways, educator effectiveness, performance-based compensation, assessment development, survey design and data analysis, and micro-credentials.

As a Senior Director and Assistant Commissioner in State Government, Peter has led large-scale initiatives (Data Governance, Analytics, and District / School / Public Reporting) and large teams to deliver accessible, accurate, and actionable data to a wide range of stakeholder groups. As the Founder of two education technology companies, he has led the design and delivery of customized technology and analytic solutions that support implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of innovative educational programs and policies.
